ANBAS (Autonomic Nerve BAsed Science) Corporation is established on April 2007. The aim of ANBAS Corporation is built to entrust studies clarifying functions of functional foods, aroma goods, cosmetics and drugs by determining changes in activities of autonomic nerves, which innervate individual organs/tissues. ANBAS Corporation is built also to develop novel functional foods, aroma goods, cosmetics and drugs by determining autonomic nerve activity changes induced by raw materials. For the latter activity, ANBAS Corporation has an collaboration agreement with Thailand Institute of Scientific and Technological Research (TISTR), which is one of National Institutes of Thailand.

We have revealed that the disturbance of a biological clock effected adjustments of blood sugar, blood pressure, body temperature and energy metabolism, and then, conditions of life-style diseases, such as overweight, diabetes, high blood pressure, arteriosclerosis, and a depressed state, would come out if the life style becomes irregular one.
Dr. Nagai and their colleagues found evidence that autonomic nerve activities are deeply involved in changes in blood sugar, blood pressure, body temperature, energy metabolism. Therefore, the method of measuring changes in activities of autonomic nerves was applied to determine functions of foods, scents, music and skin application.
As a result, mechanisms had been judged from traditional knowledges, are now able to be directly revealed, and moreover, it came to be able surely to identify the factors in a short time.

Some target stimulations such as injection of food, beverage, plant, natural product or drug, and cream application to skin, and odor, music or taste stimulation, are given to rats, and responses of autonomic nerve activities to them are observed by electro-physiological study.

Step 2, Identification of active ingredient
Identifying ingredients which cause the action found by the screening of Step1. To identify above thing, effects of fractionated substances on autonomic nerves will be examined, then, actual effective substances will be narrowed down. Active substance will be eventually identified.
